It was being considered that the current Mi Note 10 series will replace the Redmi Note 9 series, but the devices of two different segments and don’t clash with each other. It’s quite affirmative that Redmi Note 9 series exists, and they will launch in the first quarter of 2020.

There will be three smartphones in the upcoming Galaxy S11 series as the current generation: Galaxy S11, Galaxy S11E, and Galaxy S11 Plus. Set to launch in February, the Galaxy S11 series will succeed in the current Galaxy S10 flagships with upgraded internals. If we go by the leaked pictures, we see an upgraded rear panel design.

S11 and S11 Plus will feature Dynamic AMOLED panels with Quad HD+ resolution. It also has been tipped that Galaxy S11 will come with a five-camera module in a rectangular box-shaped module with the 108MP camera as the main lens with 5X optical zoom and other sensors for different purposes.

Google Pixel 5, Pixel 5XL

There’s a lot riding on Pixel 5 in 2020. It could be the last year for Pixel smartphones if they fail again. Both Pixel 3 and Pixel 4 series have not been able to generate much buzz among smartphone buyers, and Google will try to make it up with Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 5XL. In spite of being good smartphones, the Pixel still isn’t the bestsellers in the market. A new design is expected, and the company may choose to completely transform the Pixel 5 smartphones from the current Pixel 4 series of smartphones.

Google Pixel 5 might get more attractive in terms of features and design with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 platform under the hood. With the camera being the major USP, Google will again keep the focus on cameras for Pixel 5 and Pixel 5XL.

Samsung Galaxy Note 11, Galaxy Note 11 Plus

Samsung Galaxy Note 11 will launch in the final quarter of 2020, and Samsung will have already started work on the flagship. The leaked concept design of Galaxy S11 hints at a full-screen display without any notch or punch-hole, which may also inspire the Galaxy Note 11. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 will power Note 11 in the US and the top-end Exynos chip in other countries including India.

Galaxy Note 11 will have certain improvements over the current Note 10 alongside a 5G model. As Note 10 series, the Note 11 will also have two models, a standard and a plus variant. Coming to optics, Galaxy Note 11 might upgrade over the triple-lens setup with a quad or Penta camera system.

iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro

While the next-generation iPhones are still almost a year away, the leaks have already started to pour in for the next iPhone 12 series. Each variant of the upcoming iPhone 12 series will come with 5G support out of the box. Also, some leaks suggest that the iPhone 12 series will have smartphones with quad camera systems, probably only the top-end models. The company recently embraced the three-camera setup for the latest iPhone 11 variants, and it can soon upgrade to a quad-camera system as per the flying rumors.

The iPhone 12 models will feature an additional camera module, probably a 3D time of flight (ToF) sensor to gauge three-dimensional depth also to be utilized as a “rear 3D sensing system.” iPhone 12 smartphones may also feature some a radar-luke sensor as Soli on Pixel 4 with upgraded 120Hz displays.

OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8T Pro

In the last quarter of 2020, we will have the upgraded OnePlus 8 smartphones: OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8T Pro. The company is trying to move up the funnel to establish itself as a more premium brand, and hence the OnePlus 8T models are expected to offer more minimalistic design backed by the top features. The OnePlus T models generally come with slight upgrades, and hence mostly it’s going to be the same between OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T, and OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8T Pro.

OnePlus 8T smartphones will have similar design and features as OnePlus 8 models like the punch-hole camera upfront, quad camera and build. The devices will have a chance with the hardware and some additional functionalities.
